Carrie has been residing in Malaysia since 2003 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counselling from the University Putra Malaysia under the Faculty of Education. As a part of her current counselling internship at Multimedia University, Carrie conducts individual, group, career counselling and Psychoeducation workshops as a part of her professional requirements. Carrie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Communications with a Specialization in Liberal Arts from Rowan University in New Jersey, (USA.) Carrie’s educational work experience includes Primary School Classroom Teacher in Virginia and NJ, (USA) and lecturing degree students in English Foundation and Public Speaking at UCSI in Cheras and Segi College Subang Jaya. Carrie has received certificates in Stress Management for the Trauma Care provider and completed Chaplaincy Training through Alpha and Omega International College. In addition to professional training, Carrie has partnered with Malaysian organisations to find employment and homes for abused, exploited and substance addicted women in the Klang Valley. Carrie has volunteered in women’s homes in ASEAN nations including Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia in order to understand the needs of abused and exploited women.
